Z O O spells zoo

Last night Britnie and I were talking about taking the kids to the zoo for one last mini-vacation before it gets cold. Because nothing was final for my work schedule, we didn’t want to get Sid’s hopes up so we were spelling key words. “We could leave for the Z O O in the morning and maybe stop to get something to eat or some I C E C R E A M afterwards”. Havings children that don’t spell is great because you can carry on full conversations about ice cream, sex, Disneyland and movies in front of them and for you may as well be speaking Latin.
So this morning as I was dropping her off to school, Sid asked “When are we going to the zoo?”. Immediately I’m wondering why Britnie would tell her, I still don’t know what my work schedule is this weekend. ”What do you mean?” I asked, “Are we going to the zoo?”
”Dad, you said we were last night. I’m not in preschool, I know Z O O spells zoo”.
I may be underestimating that kid.
It is amazing how smart she is. Now you will have to think of another code.
