Photo a Day 39

This morning I discovered the one thing that Sid is going to be able to get me on every time (alright, I already knew, but this morning sealed the deal).

First some history. I love video games. Other than books, games are the thing that can always cheer me up, help me relax and generally just make things better. Mom always had a computer for work, so I was playing games from the time I was tiny. Right after I got married, Brit and I got a Nintendo 64 and spent hours playing Mario Kart against each other.

So when my daughter discovered video games, and really liked them, I geeked out.

The sky had some amazing reds and oranges last night, I didn’t think to stop until it was almost too late.  Sometimes I forget I have the camera with me.  This is looking out over the Great Salt Lake.

Wyatt was in a pretty bad mood after getting less than 5 hours of sleep last night.  Even so, it’s still pretty easy to get him to smile.  He’ll be miserable, but a quick hug or even calling his name will cheer him up, even if it’s only temporary.

Britnie received a phone call from Sid’s school today, it was an automated message saying the school was in lockdown and she needed to pick up her child because of a shooting. Panic of course, the elementary school is being shot up.
