Chives, planted nine days ago.

I’m not sure about the red background, it kind of overwhelms the tiny stalks. A similar shot on white is here. Which do you prefer?

The red, I think, has a far more interesting background. You’ve still isolated the plant, but the contrast between green and orange/red is pretty cool.

I like the white one because it is so dramatic up close, but the red adds some fun contrasts.
