Interesting interview with Ken Jennings (of Jeopardy fame) at the Friendly Athiest. As Ken mentions on his blog, the athiests some of the people commenting after the interview are slightly less friendly, so you may want to quit after reading the main post.
I enjoyed the interview. He had some very witty responses to questions.
Re: “the athiests commenting after the interview are slightly less friendly”
Please note that not all of the commenters on Hemant’s blog are atheists, and that as soon as one commenter threw out the standard “cult” accusation, several atheists jumped in to dispute it. I’m not claiming that all atheists are wonderfully nice, but if you don’t like people dismissing your own group so quickly, there’s this little “do unto others…” thing.
There was some follow up discussion of atheists complaining about people wrongly calling Mormonism a cult here and here.
You’re right, that was a stupid thing for me to do. How about I throw a some in there?
Thanks for the nice reply!!
As soon as I posted my above comment, I thought “What am I doing pestering people I don’t know over such a trivial point?” (I found your blog post because the trackback showed up on Hemant’s blog). It’s good that you didn’t take it badly.
I think it’s cool that Ken Jennings gave such a good interview on a very popular atheist blog. Also it’s cool that it the interview got attention all over the Bloggernacle, and even some ‘naclers went over there to join in the discussion on the original interview thread!
