I read the Invention of Hugo Cabret and loved it. It was half pictures, half words, with each picking up where the other left off. Incredibly creative.
I’m next on the list to get it from the library. I love graphic novels, and this one looks particularly great.
You should checkout The Arrival by Shaun Tan. Another graphic novel - no words, but incredible artwork.
