At the Temple

I was hired to take a few photos of B & C last week when they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple. They’d never had official wedding photos taken and they saw this as a second chance to get some nice photos to remember the event. It was last Saturday, and as soon as I got out of my car, the weather changed from slightly cloudy to a heavy snowstorm. No pretty blue skies for these guys. So the lighting was weird and and everyone was cold. That really made me want to rush things, and I’m afraid I didn’t get as many good shots as I wanted, but here are a few of them.
Meh. Something I’ve discovered while taking pictures of people, is I really dislike posing them. Tilt your head that way, put your hand there, stand facing this direction. Instead I’m trying to capture more honest looks and poses, and I think the pictures really suffer from it. I want candid shots, but I’m sure they wanted more poses. The only reason I got some of these was having Jolinn stand next to me giving the couple directions every once in a while. I guess it’s just something else to work on.

I love the black and white of the bouquet.
