Caught red handed

Our family LOVES icecream.
Last night I put Sidney to bed. I went to get ready for bed and I heard this clinking noise. I asked Jer if he would go in and check to make sure she was asleep. Sidney was in her bed but she had decided to have a bowl of icecream. That’s my girl. I myself love to have icecream in bed so I couldn’t get to upset with her. crazy girl.

Busted! I caught my daughter in the pantry grabbing some cookies once, too.
Hilarious! Believe it or not, my sibs and I used to sneak in and take packaged Jello and eat the gelatin raw. Also, my mom used to make the most glorious Christmas cookies. Mom kept them in the freezer. I don’t know how we thought we could hide the fact that we sneaked those cookies after going to bed. I learned many years later that we didn’t get away with it - she knew all along.
Funny! I am also amazed that we thought Grandma would not notice that a package of chocolate chips or some other yummy treat had been opened. Those Christmas cookies were indeed divine and beautiful.
Hey, she never knew that I stole cookies! I never thought of the chocolate chips! But, the jello I would admit to. I loved the strawberry…is that why I have rotten teeth? So I think she (Sidney) must come by this genetically……perhaps from both sides.
As much as an ice cream addict as I am, I never snuck it to bed. I did sneak chocolate chips though.
I never ate this or anything in bed, really, because I hated crumbs or anything in my bed. I did, however, sneak ice cream after asking BOTH mom and dad, being denied, and deciding it was worth going behind their backs for a little bit.
I would hand wash the bowl and spoon, or hide them under other dishes to hide the evidence.
I STILL
I STILL “sneak” chocolate chips.
