I did, however, sneak ice cream after asking BOTH mom and dad, being denied, and deciding it was worth going behind their backs for a little bit. Believe it or not, my sibs and I used to sneak in and take packaged Jello and eat the gelatin raw. Also, my mom used to make the most glorious Christmas cookies. Mom kept them in the freezer. I don't know how we thought we could hide the fact that we sneaked those cookies after going to bed. I learned many years later that we didn't get away with it - she knew all along. Hilarious!
