Grandma Holbrook’s funeral

Not many good shots at the funeral, I was wrangling kids and kept forgetting I had my camera with me. I’m not really happy with any of them, but here are the shots I dislike the least. See all of them here.

How about those shoes for the funeral? We were driving to the cemetery, and opened his window so he could yell hi to someone, and then we closed the window. Little did we know he’d tossed out one of his dress shoes while he was saying hi. Luckily we retrieved it when we got back.

Another shot from us taking a break to unwind outside the church
Wyatt saying goodbye to Grandma. He’s been really interesting at the two funerals we’ve attended these past two weeks. At the viewings he keeps wanting to return to the open caskets and talk to the people and ask who it is in there. He wants to know what’s in there and what the lid does. He never seemed at all frightened about it like I suspected he would be,

I think the shoes (and the clothes) are a perfect choice for a funeral. Think how tickled Grandma Holbrook was at seeing him in those cute shorts, wandering under the shrub oak on the pathway. The pictures are very tender. Great job on the flowers, Britnie!
