Grammy gave me an owie

Wyatt has no fear, and because of this has bumps and bruises all over his body. He doesn’t seem to notice until he gets a big one, then he’s fascinated with it and wants to tell everyone about it. Right now he has big ones on each knew, and one on each hand. When he’s ready for bed and I’m reading to him, he likes to catalog all of these injuries, and in case I’ve forgotten, let me know how they all happened (he blames them all on falling down the stairs, when I’m pretty sure that was only the cause of one of them).
A few nights ago we finished reading, and while I was turning the pages, he was rubbing the bump on one hand, then the bump on the other. Then he’d pull up the pajama legs one at a time to check out his knees. Finally I asked what had happened, knowing he’d tell me once again about the stairs.

“Grammy did it” was what he told me instead. I started laughing, and after I recovered, I told him Grammy wouldn’t hurt him and I think he fell down the stairs. Then he said “mean zoom boom bully did it”. Then he hid his face so I couldn’t see him laughing. “Pink Gabby did it” (another character from that book). Then he just started naming every person he could think of, turning away so I couldn’t see him laughing. He thought he was so smart blaming his injures on someone else.

See the problem wth this kid is he knows when he’s being cute, and he’ll try to use it against you. Because right after he finished laughing, and saw I was laughing, he asked “watch mommy daddy show?” trying to stay up late.
Hilarious!
Didn’t the knees happen at Lagoon? Grammy, I didn’t see you there!
What a riot!
It’s amazing how cute my nieces and nephews are.
