Sid in the field Ortonized

A few people at Digital Photography School suggested I try the Orton effect on the photo of Sidney in the field, so here are the results. It’s a little overdone, but I like the effect on this photo because the wheat seems to glow.
This is the perfect picture for that kind of effect. Great job!
So is this a photoshop effect/action, or is this a plugin for Lightroom that created it?
