My new favorite photo of Obama.

© Callie Shell / Aurora for Time

She took a bunch in the past three years, all on this page.  (you have to keep clicking See More Images at the bottom)  Her description for this one is “I loved that he cleaned up after himself before leaving an ice cream shop in Wapello, Iowa. He didn’t have to. The event was over and the press had left. He is used to taking care of things himself and I think this is one of the qualities that makes Obama different from so many other political candidates I’ve encountered. Nov. 7, 2007.”

  • Those pictures of the sun are beautiful, but they make me mildly uncomfortable. I can’t help thinking about falling into that. I have the same reactions to images of Jupiter. It’s weird.

It’s so strange that newspapers can endorse a candidate. I’m just not sure how every worker of that newspaper can agree when many famillies across America don’t agree. So weird.

  • It’s common practice. The editorial team does it, not the reporters, so they aren’t taking any kind of vote among their readers or staff. Usually the endorsement goes along with which way the newspapers lean, which is why it’s fairly shocking that many conservative newspapers are picking Obama.

  • I love the picture of Obama.

  • The video about why everyone shouldn’t vote is pretty funny. Sometimes I wonder how I would look trying to explain my thought process for voting. It may look just about as intelligent.

The photos of the sun were amazing.
